Youth Employment Service (YES) is a free program of the Ithaca Youth Bureau. We envision a world where ALL teens grow into flourishing adults, and our mission is to level, clear, and widen that path. We meet teens where they are and connect them to opportunities to work, grow, and lead in their community. Our three core program elements are YES Connect, the YES Summer Jobs Program, and Ithaca Youth Council Ambassadors.

A self-directed group of nominated teens with a mission to listen and speak for youth in Tompkins County
Ambassadors create resources to address youth needs with a focus on civic engagement and peer leadership
Ambassadors meet with local leaders and government bodies to share what they learn and create

YES SUmmer Jobs Program

Teens work part-time jobs at one of our 80+ partner worksites
Teens work around 120 hours over six weeks
Teens receive ongoing feedback and support from their supervisor and YES Staff
Paid training and workshop opportunities are provided throughout the summer
Teens must meet eligibility requirements to participate
